basic rule is
- dark shadow on the lower part of the upper lid towards the outer corner
- lighter shadow in the middle and a bit in the inner part next to the dark shadow
- shiny just under the brow to give a freshly plucked eye-brow look
- use nice soft eye shadow brush, coz a finger is too wide to apply in specific areas without mixing with the other colours. do it professionally to avoid mistakes, so fingers out, brushes inHow do you blend eyeshadow colours properly without it looking stupid?
There are lots of different methods, and everyone will tell you their's is best. It may be for them. Or they may think they look cool while you think they look fugly. (Yep, I'm old)
The only way is to practice. In magazines and on the eye shadow packages with multple colors, they usually have some examples. Practice with those first. Get them looking the way the model does - then experiment. Take a day or two every once in a while and just play with it.
That is the only way to get to what is truly going to look good on you.

Just use your finger, dab it in the shadow and pat over the part of your eyelid, dab a clean finger in the other color and pat it on your eyelid as well, when both colors are on get a brush and brush it until blended. Its very important not to rub the eye shadow over the eyelid because then your already blending it in. Pat and pat and pat. Oh and for deeper results use a concealer under the color.
GOOD LUCK

Put one shade on your eyelid all the way , put another color on the inner corner and put another color on the outer corner then run your finger lightly across the whole lid in one sweep and it will be blended.
First use a base color all over your eyelid. Usually this is a light color. Then you need one or two more colors. Apply the next color near the lash line to the crease line. You will need a blender brush to do the rest, in less your good at blending with your fingers. Now gently get the blender brush and gently blend the colors using little circular strokes until you get the blend you want. Practice makes perfect.
dab one color on heavily, then dab on another color heavily, swirl with your finger until blended. run finger in crease of eye and thenout past corner a bit. looks glam!!
good eye shadow brushes and good eye shadow are fundamental if you don't want to look like a clown. also, the best thing to do is pick eye shadows from the same colour family (ie. browns: lt brown, gold, taupe, etc), or at least the same side of the colour wheel (ie. warm: pink, red, yellow, orange, etc, OR cool: blue, green, purple, etc).a lot of eye shadows actually come in palettes that match or have good blending colours, so that's always a good way to go. for good blending, put on the eye shadows you wish to use, and then simply use a larger brush (an eye shadow brush first) and smooth the area to get the colouration right. at this time, you can add or take away more colour if you see fit to (remember, it's always easier to add than take away without messing everything else up). once you feel you have your eye the way you want, sweep the entire eye with a small blush brush to get a nice even coverage.
you should apply light colored eyeshadow all the way to your brow bone and put dark colored eyeshadow on your eyelid all the way up to the crease and use your finger to blend it in.
you can use ur finger to apply, i think the oil from ur hand helps blend it. u can put the darker color on the edge of ur lid and put it lightly above that. then lightly apply the lighter color on the top of the lid.
use your finger to blend... or apply with a q-tip, and use that to blend.
use a darker color on the actual lid, byut not too dark. use a lighter variation of the same thing up to your eyebrows and blende it really well. Use a really light color near the actual brow
