How can I reduce eyeshadow from smudging?

Whenever I put eyeshadow on, after a few hours it smudges and becomes less defined. This is a particular problem when using more daring colours. Please help me! : )

Dab your lids with soap and water a few minutes before applying eyeshadow. The effect lasts for many hours and is the cheapest and most effective way I know. It will dry out the skin somewhat so make sure you use plenty of moisturizing cream after make-up removal. You can also use an oil based make-up remover like almond oil.





Please note that this should not be done on an every day basis! It's a safe trick that I use when I know I have a long party ahead of me.

around this time of year they have smaller ones that they are selling in eyeshadow palletes that range from 30-50 dollars.
Using an eyeshadow primer or base can correct this problem. You can buy them from tons of different make-up companies, but just using your ring finger to blend some cream eyeshadow or foundatin over your lids before applying shadow will work just as well.

I use ModelCo鈥檚 Beauty Fix Airbrush Face. It is a lightweight, transparent spray that gently mists onto face to set and seal your makeup, making it smudge-proof, tear-proof and water resistant!
Apply foundation to your eyelids, too. That will help set the stage for eyeshadow, and it will last MUCH longer.
