What color of eyeshadow would look good with brown eyes?

i have black/brown eyes and my bff has light brown eyes and we both use Maybelline eyeshadow in Lux Lilac and it REALLY makes your eyes pop! But other than that I would suggest golds, browns, neuturels, grays, and purples.What color of eyeshadow would look good with brown eyes?

a darkish green i imagine, depending on your eye color , it should be brighter or darken than a tree leaf
